Diagnosed late in life

Diagnosed late in life

In my next episode, I talk with Amy O’keeffe who is from Ireland and going for her Archaeology PhD from Trinity College. We talk about what it was like for her to be diagnosed late in life as recent as this February with not only ASD and ADHD but also Fibromyalgia.

We talk about how she deals with her ADHD during her studies, and what challenges she has faced knowing what she has.  She talks about how Ireland is with disability how one minute they can award a student with a disability grant and than take it away from them, we also talk about how challenging it was for a lot of students to study during Covid and how a lot of students really missed out and lost out.

We talk about how her diagnose really hasn’t changed her, but made her understands herself better.
